Hey everyone!
I think it’s finally to the point I’m ready to put it out there for people to join. Yes, that’s right, I’ve created a Discord server/community! I know all my friends have their own Discord servers that we like to talk on when we’re gaming, and that’s fine! I just felt that in trying to create StormDragon Gaming we should have our own Discord space.
It’s an open server, anyone can join. Being a community there is an onboarding process but I tried to make it super easy and quick to complete. For instance, two of the three tasks on the to-do list complete when you visit the channel associated with them. The ‘introduce yourself’ task is the only one that completes once you send a message in the #introductions channel. Just a simple “Hi” would suffice (unless Discord has some requirement I missed on length).
There’s general chat, of course, but also places for stuff like:
- Memes and other humor
- Clips and Highlights from games
- Channels for all the games I play (and can add others if there is enough interest, or I can downsize to just games-chat
- Multiple voice chat channels
- and a section for anyone struggling with mental health issues who just need to talk or need resources.
