About Me

“Hey there! I’m Chris, a 52-year-old gamer and the founder of StormDragon Gaming. Originally, this was just going to be a space for my online presence and streaming, but as I developed the idea, I realized it could become something more—something that could help others like me. I deal with anxiety, depression, and a lot of social anxiety, which makes it tough for me to feel comfortable in groups or around new people. Luckily, my therapist suggested streaming as a way to challenge those fears and build confidence.

Now, I’ll be honest—you can probably tell from my picture that I’m not in the best shape, but I’m working on it! For now, my streams may start with the camera off while I build up the confidence to go live with video. Don’t worry though, we’ll get there! My main goal is to create a platform that’s welcoming to people dealing with similar challenges—whether you’re looking for a judgment-free zone where you can just be yourself, or a community that understands what you’re going through, you’re in the right place.

My love for tech started early with my first computer, a TI-99/4A (with speech synthesizer!) when I was around 11 or 12. From there, I moved into the world of PCs, starting with a Mac 128k, and eventually built my own rigs. It wasn’t long before I dove into gaming, starting with classics like Dark Castle and Wizardry.

I also went through a big MUD/MUSH phase with games like Another World, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, HeroesMUSH, and Cuendillar. Eventually, I created my own games—Harry Potter: Into The Fire and Star Trek: Redemption, both of which are no longer active.

My first MMO was EverQuest, and I was hooked. From there, it was World of Warcraft, the Battlefield series, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and many more (you can check out my full gaming catalog on my page).

That’s me in a nutshell! If you’re a fellow streamer with any tips or tricks to help me improve, I’d love to hear from you!”
