{"id":159,"date":"2024-09-07T22:31:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-07T22:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mmohermit.com\/?p=154"},"modified":"2024-09-07T22:31:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-07T22:31:00","slug":"2024-09-07-magic-paragon-gaming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stormdragongaming.org\/index.php\/2024\/09\/07\/2024-09-07-magic-paragon-gaming\/","title":{"rendered":"2024-09-07 &#8211; Magic @ Paragon Gaming"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, another successful Saturday at Paragon Gaming. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude42\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t4c\/1\/16\/1f642.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I ended up at the store around noon, with the Commander Role Variant tournament not starting until 2pm. But, I used the time before hand to mostly finish sorting my entire collection. It&#8217;s all alphabetical, just need to go and sort the individual letter blocks into their respective sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 2pm the Commander Role Variant kicked off. The Role Variant is basically the Treachery Variant. Paragon just calls it &#8216;Role&#8217; for <a><\/a>some reason. Basically, it&#8217;s 6 players (2 teams). 1 Paragon\/Leader, 2 Guardians (protectors of the Paragon\/Leader), and 3 Usurpers\/Assassins. The Paragon and Guardians are one team, the 3 Usurpers are the other team. The game ends when one team is dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first game I was on the Usurpers team. We lost. But the second game, I brought out the Draconic Rage deck. Which was a fantastic choice since I ended up drawing the Paragon card. After about 6 rounds we were able to figure out who was who and then the teamwork started. Me and my Guardians were able to work together and eventually won. The prize was a Blooomburrow booster pack. Not bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was definitely a fun time and met even more new people. I think I might start doing Paragon on Saturdays, and Warcraft on Sundays.
